This charming little round box to embroider in cross stitch is inspired by the magnificent fabric of the Queen’s bedchamber at the Palace of Versailles.
Marie-Antoinette's Roses at the Palace is a rose wreath motif, taken from this sumptuous design also known as the Grand Broché de la Reine.
Woven in Lyon, then the French capital of the most refined textiles, this fabric reflects the luxury and exquisite taste that characterised Marie-Antoinette’s apartments.
A delicate project, offering a glimpse, through embroidery, into the richness of this decorative world.
